Kaziranga Khoj: A Card Game.
Welcome to the lush and dense landscapes of Kaziranga National Park, nestled in Northeastern India. In this card game, "Kaziranga Khoj," players are on an exciting safari adventure where the objective is to capture the essence of this ecosystem through strategic gameplay which is entirely inspired by the diverse flora and fauna of Kaziranga National Park in Assam. (This card game was collaboratively designed by me and four others)
GAME NARRATIVE:
Imagine yourself amidst the grasslands and dense forests of Kaziranga, camera in hand, ready to capture the various inhabitants. From one-horned rhinos to the tigers, peacocks, hornbills, gibbons, and bulbuls, every corner of the park is filled with life waiting to be discovered. Your mission? To photograph and document these magnificent creatures and plants. However, along with the wildlife, lies the hidden threat poachers seeking to exploit the park's precious wildlife for their own gain.
GAMEPLAY:
Players work together to strategically collect cards from a central layout/ deck, building sets that represent the park's iconic animals, birds and flora and gain scores accordingly. To gather scores, players exchange cards from their hand, aiming to reach specific positions in the layout by skipping the others. The game ends when the entire pile of card ends, and players tally their scores based on the sets they've completed. And so, Kaziranga Khoj offers a fun, strategic challenge while celebrating the unique wildlife of this special place.

Game Mechanics:
Set Collection: By forming sets of matching animals, birds, and plants, players maximize their scores and move towards victory.
Card Drafting: players select cards from a central layout deck to add to their hand, here they have to keep in mind the dynamic nature of the game and have to weigh the value of available cards against their strategic goals.
Risk Management: Here, players have to assess the potential consequences of their actions, making decisions to minimize the impact of negative outcomes while maximizing their chances of success.
