ART DIRECTION

Stage the BDS decals in a typographic universe. I chose a change of material and color according to the mood of each visual : Match Day / Smoke, Victory / Solid, Defeat / Liquid. We also did some experiments with a smoke machine to understand the movements to be simplified on the Match Day illustration.

Storyboard created to provide guidance to our 3D artist and check overall consistency

Playblasts (simplified renderings) for each visual, which helped us sort out some perspective problems.

After receiving the final renders, I was able to start editing the whole thing: illustration / 3D mix and post production. Steps : HUD / Sketch / Playblast / 3D (+ balloon added here) / Illustration / Retouching (color and light) / FX (blur)
