Akarapradana Incubator : Activating Urban Lost Space

ACTIVATING URBAN LOST SPACE
This thesis aims to identify the possibility of Urban Lost Space, especially the space beneath the TB Simatupang flyover, to be transformed into a productive space. The degradative environment around highways is a challenge. After conducting research through building simulation and design research process, an effective formulation was found to provide startup office facilities that apply workplace comfort principles with 2 indicators, namely the quality of the physical environment which is determined through; 1) Acoustic Comfort, 2) Respiratory Comfort, 3) Thermal Comfort, 4) Visual Comfort, and psychological user quality by providing massive greenery and various supporting facilities. These findings succeeded in defending this thesis and it is hoped that it can be developed into real field implementation.
ANIMATION SHOWREEL
this animation visualize in 3 Dimensional space how the startup facility exist beneath flyover. The height of ground to under flyover beam span allow a 2 storey building and keep in mind the pier gap to reduce vehicle vibration on top of toll road and avoid any infliction on near future.
This proposal was selected as Institut Teknologi Bandung Architecture Master Thesis Delegation on the International Forum for Architecture Thesis Design in Taiwan & Southeast Asia 2021 建築畢業設計國際論壇:台灣與東南亞.
