Square paper subjected to non-parallel linear folding can yield spiral-like deformations, resembling structures akin to seashells or protein molecules, with significant shaping elasticity.
Fold spiral folds on the upper half of a sheet of paper, leaving the left part unfolded. This unfolded part can be shaped into an upright cylinder. The final form seems to function as a type of container.
However, this design might not be suitable for a folding fan.
