Beyond The Box, an Apple Premium Reseller, held a paper bag design competition called “Beyond the Bag” with the following theme “We provide amazing gadgets, you create amazing things”.  This gives artist and designers the chance to showcase their talent and win some gadget goodies. The artwork that I deigned consists of three different colored versions that will cater, but not limited to white, black and colored paper. There were 267 Design Entries and I was fortunate enough to be included among the top 10 Finalist.

My Concept was to create a geometric mandala / totem inspired design with a message of how gadgets, not only are suppose to make our lives better, but also allows us to connect to other people (or disconnected, depends on your perspective), to play or be competitive, and to push creativity a little further. I have chosen the shape of an owl for wisdom and knowledge in which this age of information generally provides us access with, a bull representing moving and charging forward, and the centerpiece which resembles a monkey, which signifies evolution and playfulness. For competition purposes, I've replaced the centerpiece with the company's logo which holds the same principle of going beyond and to make it more relevant.
