The Norman S. Ives Foundation is on a mission to preserve the posters, paintings, collages, and sculptures of Norman Ives as well as his teachings that spawned a new generation of designers who redefined the design field. The purpose was to design a modern website for The Norman S. Ives Foundation, showcasing the incredible work of artist, designer, teacher, and publisher, Norman S. Ives. Representing the abstract nature of Norman Ives’ work, the site features collaged typography, unified shapes, and a vibrant color scheme. Line is utilized throughout to create visual division of space, and correlates directly to many of Ives’ designs. This website is designed to appeal to those who are looking to learn more about the mission of the Norman S. Ives Foundation, as well as those who are looking to purchase Ives’ work. Each design element is established to be encouraging to visitors and to allow for a friendly user experience. A mobile version has also been designed to allow for use through a different medium.
