We were approached by OVOI to create a completely fresh brand identity from the ground up. The word "ovoj" is common in architecture, as it refers to the building envelope or membrane. The name of the architectural studio is formed in such a way that the letter "J" is replaced with "I". This spelling maintains its visual appeal due to the combination of letters, so we decided not to alter it. At the same time, we wanted to preserve readability, as the name is somewhat unusual and differs from the standard spelling of the word.
We focused on selecting typography that would convey a sense of professionalism and modernity while also adding a touch of personality and character to the brand. The chosen sans-serif typography is simple yet offers an interesting detail in the letter "V", symbolizing the merging of ideas from different directions. For the color palette, we opted for shades of gray with various undertones. By combining different shades of gray, we achieve a greater dynamism in the appearance.
Since the logo itself is distinctly geometric and aesthetically appealing, it can also be used as a graphic where the word OVOI is repeated infinitely. With the ribbon-like shape, we can experiment with different materials, thereby expressing the significance of the word "ovoj."
