I worked with the UK pop punk band, Neck Deep, to bring about their new record cover. They wanted the cover to reflect the music: big riffs, shout along choruses, and just all around fun while keeping the DIY spirit that has made the band so beloved.
I frankly had way too much fun cramming in different punks into every crevice of the composition
The sketching round was quite varied. I listened to the four demos they sent over and best tried to visualize it. They ultimately decided with the character pile option.
The drawing wraps around the gatefold and onto the back, because fuck it. Live it up lol
The cover led to some other drawings, including one of posters for the bands biggest show at the Alexandra Palace and a sold out weekend in Pomona
In addition, other drawings were used on merch and their overall stage design.
A little drawing process
Stage photos, bubble text got inflated and a repeating brick pattern with some creatures emerging from them.
