SUNSET ON A FROZEN LAKE
It has been almost a month since I came back from my latest photographic adventure: Lofoten, Norway.
I had never been to any of the Nordic countries but as soon as the airplane began its descent and I saw the landscape, I knew I would have a special connection to it. Something about the sea, mountains and ice invites me to stand still and simply be.
In the beginning, I was a bit disappointed that the weather was warmer than I expected and that the snow and ice that greeted me when I arrived was almost gone by the next day. But as it turns out, the warm weather provided for one of my favourite moments in Lofoten. Luckily, our guides had the inspiration to take us to this picturesque lake with these rocky mountains in the background where the ice had broken. We spent less than an hour there but the atmosphere drastically changed from dark and moody to a colourful and joyful as the sunset started painting the clouds and ice in delicious shades of pink and purple. 🤩🤤
For the photography geeks out there, these were taken with Sony A7RV and Sony1635mm GM I, edited in Lightroom and most of them focus stacked in Photoshop.
