The concept for this artwork is bold, it’s inspired by the lyrics of Same Love, a song by Macklemore, “strip away the fear, underneath it’s all the same love.” I find these words incredibly powerful and so simple at the same time, if we plant love and kindness into our communities, a rich life will grow.

The surrounding elements are a range of colourful illustrated flowers to represent stages of blooming love and all kinds of relationships along the rich and varied culture of the queer community. 

The lettering style is clean and playful - not too rigid, extending the letterforms allow the shapes to grow around each other and co-exist within the space.
