Les cabinets des curiosités sont une tradition de collections, le besoin qu'éprouve l'humain de réunir en un seul endroit le monde entier sous forme d'objets naturels et artificiels (Naturalia et Artificialia).
Notre monde contemporain est l’objet de questionnements multiples. A quoi ressemblera le monde de demain ? Vers quel univers nous dirigeons-nous ?
La manipulation photographique permet aujourd’hui de répondre hypothétiquement à ces questions : le monde de demain ne sera peut-être pas si différent d'aujourd'hui, il s’agira plus probablement d’une adaptation de ce qui existe déjà. La faune et la flore notamment, s’adapteront à des changements climatiques évidents.
Le Studio Aartus présente ici une série de manipulations photographiques réalisées afin de constituer un Cabinet des Hypothétiques Curiosités du futur (plus ou moins proche).
