2D Animation | Chris Cat Character Jump

2D Animation | Chris Cat Character Jump
An animated short starring Chris Cat! Today he visits an abandoned Victorian house, expecting the unexpected, but turns out he's just a scaredy cat.
In this assignment I chose to use a bean like character as I wanted to express the fluidity of a cat in simple forms. Chris Cat was the perfect candidate for that as he is not made of complicated limbs, allowing me to show squash and stretch in its basic element. Apart from his face, his stocky tail and chubby ears are an essential part of cat body language. A downright tail and drawn back ears is a sign of a nervous feline despite trying to keep his composure.
Background and Exercise by Timmy Kwee (2D Animation Lecturer)
This is the "flour sack" exercise for Chris Cat, this was my first time animating swinging movement on a character. This was later applied to my animation assignment.
