Hamptons collection by Ramón Esteve Estudio
Vondom contacted us to become part of their production team in charge of the visuals for its 2023 brand new collection Hamptons, designed by Ramón Esteve.

The collection was shot at Oliva, but should pass as if it was located at Hamptons area in NY. Initially, the task involved modeling and compositing some Hampton-ish villas to convey that idea, but as the project moved in we were asked to replace the base white boards platform with an exposed worn wooden one that fitted the art direction.

That also involved working at camera matching and 3D modeling of the entire furniture set so we can also have the shadows properly reacting the light so we can seamingless mix both shot images and 3D.

Also, as the sunbeds weren't available at the shooting day because they were still as prototypes, we were also commissioned to fully display them in 3D.

Matching references
First, we worked with reference photos to develop proper shaders that would replicate the actual materials, as you can see on this side by side comparaison.
Once matched, we developed a virtual set to showcase the marketing team the models to be approved with the idea in mind of further use that to develope the sunbed images.
Lighting
Once approved, we focused on mimic lighting conditions for each take. Being a full day shooting, that involved some different setups.
CGI catalogue images
And last but not least, we developed a full CGI set to showcase the catalogue showcasing the outcome for marketing purposes.
This 3d set allowed us to display the graphic design the way we wanted. Making it laying flat was a nightmare as Hamptons collection was displayed at the beggining of the catalogue, so that way we could display it without having to deal with physical issues.
In use
The images were used broadly across different platforms, as well as physical media
