УКРИТТЯ — UKRYTTIA charity blanket design

The word Ukryttia (Ukr: Укриття́) in Ukrainian means a hiding place, a safe space where you can take shelter from air raids, missiles, and other kinds of danger. In this project it serves as a metaphor for safety, at least imaginary for simple mental reassurance and comfort, considering the daily potential danger faced by every Ukrainian due to russia's war against Ukraine and russian aggression.
The 'Ukryttia' Blanket is an item that will help you feel the warmth of home even in the most anxious atmosphere. Created in collaboration with Projector and the Woolkrafts brand to share warmth with family and loved ones. To take with you to a safe place and cover those who need comfort, support, and protection. The 'Ukyttia' Blanket is an item whose touch warms and soothes.

The Blanket carries not only a practical and aesthetic mission, but also a charitable one — 30% of the profits is donated to the Projector Foundation for scholarships for Ukrainian women who have lost their homes and jobs due to the war.

Created and produced in Ukraine in May 2022 during the ongoing war. Special thanks to Sasha Tregub for believing in this idea and Tetiana Fischuk for helping it to become a reality.
