Remembrance
I made "Remembrance" because I had seen something like it on an ad while I was scrolling on my phone. I also wanted to try to use sublimation on acrylic since that was something that wasn't done in the lab yet at this point. It is an Interactive light using a touch sensor powered by an Arduino nano. Through the combination of laser cutting,  Arduino codes, and neo pixels I was able to create a lamp capable of shifting through colors and consistently changing with the touch of a button. This project is very meaningful to me because it is cool to know that I am the first person to use sublimation on a piece of acrylic in the lab. It is also a way to bring core memories to fruition and forever set them in stone as long as the lamp is working.
This is the functional part of the project coded up and ready to be put into its box.
This is the actual box that the functional prototype will go in once it is pieced together. It is laid out here to make sure the pieces are big enough for the functional protype.
This is when the box is two-thirds of the way put together, ( I had to re-solder the wires to the neo pixel because they came off like twice at this point).
This is the box for the bottom part of the light completely encapsulated and ready for the top acrylic piece to be joined with it.
This is my acrylic after I sublimated the image onto it with a clothes iron.
This is the finished product unlit and put together.
This is the finish product lit up in one of its many colors.
