Embarking on the year-long project titled "Flying at Southland," I am immersing myself in the enchanting realm of Southerland (New Zealand)—a place that has been my cherished home for several years.
My aim is to create an enthralling series of images that vividly portrays the essence and beauty of Southland as it exists within my imagination.
I will be adopting a whimsical children's cartoon illustration style, infusing each image with a delightful, cheerful, and dreamlike quality. Adding a personal touch, the beloved character Jacob, from one of my cherished children's stories, will play a central role in every illustration, bringing familiarity and charm to the series.
