My second attempt at electrolytic etching. It's a really fun process of transferring negative images to metal, connecting a car battery charger, and submerging the plate in a sulfate solution.
I feel like a mad scientist everytime.
The toner transfer is easily the most frustrating part of this process. It's tricky to find the right paper and the correct mixture of heat pressing and curing.
Lots of variation between toner transfers and electrolytic etching results
I tried different gauge copper and took apart/rigged my car battery charger to produce 75 amps continuously. The result was about half the etching time, but in many areas it ate entirely through.
