Steamed Terrier (Ka-Boom Boom WIPs + Final)
The next asset piece of sorts being added for this week? The Steamed Terrier was an attempt to do something much more "realistic" looking in comparison to the works I've done before, and for this one? I took inspiration from the family dogs we own as they were pretty stupid looking creatures that helped to give a fun idea of "a cybernetic dog", if anyone knows or remembers the game Jet Force Gemini, the character Lupus was an inspiration for this project, but something more realistic looking as in "what if this were an edgy reboot" kind of direction that was popular back in the 2000s, it was definitely a fun look back on in hindsight, even if unfortunately, the model itself could've turned out better but that's for later to discuss, the holidays were incredibly stressful last year but hopefully it could look better than I'm describing it here right here...

Say hello to the new and improve Steamed Terrier model, it's clear that during these trying times with the world collapsing in on itself day by day, we here at the Buddy Love Inc. decided to be kind and bring back the long extinct dog, but we're testing for with the hideous Boston Terrier, most specifically used to test our supply and demand for later breeds and likely to put their heinous looking carcasses back into the ground once supplies are limited. The Steamed Terrier, a creature born and brought to life in our less than stable toxic junkyards, these dogs will do whatever they can to help you on your latest scavenger for survival or to prove your point and put your neighbor 6 ft. under for daring to mock you; these things do it all like its older but inferior ancestors, either it be to dig up loot or spare parts to help keep you maintenance for years to come, fight against large beasts like bears or those hideous space scum, as well as be able to pick up your car keys or loose change with its start of the art magnetic body.
It's downsides to the elitist of elite will find its skin falling off to be a massive detriment, as our less than reliable machinery could result in mistakes, either cyclops or a tumor covered atrocity but thankfully, even for you lower end scum, you can be able to get the more cheaper alternatives, like Sparky here below, you'll be thankful to know that each replacement part will only cost around 2000 premium each, but out in those dangerous wastelands, you'll have enough to afford it. Best part, unlike us which evolution has failed us on by giving us the inferior parts of falling ill to diseases, needing to rely on water or food to sustain us, or that desire of admiration, the Steamed Terrier breed when it comes to any of these are a thing of the past, matter of fact, if it were to fall apart in-battle or from a high enough ledge, the nanomites inside will help to reactivate it with 2-5 hours, and even if you lose your pet, it'll help to find itself to where you are, though what kind of irresponsible monster will you be to abandon your buddy here? Beyond that, it's to whatever you please doing to this, just as long as you do commit heinous acts to the creature and if you lose your patience, you can refund it later within a few years for a newer model and leave old scrappy behind, other than that, enjoy your new companion as you help to potentially bring this world back to what it was, or don't; we could care less just as long as it doesn't affect us, just fulfill a down payment of 3B premium down below and he/she will be all yours.

And now the moment of truth? The model itself, the model is a complete disaster, the result of stress building up and just collapsing in after the holidays were getting closer and finances were getting incredibly difficult, the mesh itself got corrupted into one as well as the texture getting warped as a result which led to the look of these textures that turned out all over the place thanks to ProCreate making it harder to tell which part was which in the texture work; overall another model I should give another chance if I work on this next time on Blender or the like, here's hoping for something of a much better quality for next time...
Overall, like before, the textures got warped and Mudbox making it easier to do turn arounds despite the like or wireframes shown... I'll definitely want to redo this for next time if possible...
