Flosse Works — Software Engineer Branding

Software without coding jargon.

Florian Sesser is a freelance software developer from Munich. As Flosse Works, he develops software solutions alone or in a team that don't just somehow solve problems. He has fun creating solutions that are as simple and elegant as possible. Spectacularly unspectacular. No solutions that simply manage or patch up problems. Always quiet and thoughtful, but never in a quiet chamber: as an advocate of the open source movement and lecturer at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology, he flies the flag for collective work and open knowledge exchange.

The newly developed visual identity for Flosse Works attempts to make this enjoyment of simplicity visible. With a simple, unagitated color palette. With a simple font family. With simple but pictorial headlines and texts instead of technical cable clutter. With content that is itself structured like software systems: uncomplicated but with a well thought-out second level. An animated icon set, interactive scroll animations and illustrative elements illustrate different subject areas and add a humorous layer to the simple level that involves the viewer. To summarize: A simple design with programmed joy.
