I was commissioned to design a series of six illustrated Raya’s Money Packets, which are scheduled to be released in January 2024.
They wanted me to draw a cute and festive illustration featuring cats and happy children celebrating Raya in their hometown.
I presented some rough sketches to the client, but they preferred a simpler illustration with fewer people in one frame. After received their approval on the revised sketches and proposed color pallete, i began coloring the illustrations.
Images are showing my first, second draft and final draft. And below are the refined sketches and final illustrations. A few more changes have been made in between the final stages.
