The giant spatula was created using UVA foam from the outer shell of the spatula. To start, a 15-inch piece of plywood was used as the foundation of the base and the neck of the spatula. This piece of wood was covered by foam to provide a softer texture to the finished design. Two 8x8 squares were attached to the end of the spatula neck, and grooves were cut into the square to resemble and actual spatula.
