Ryu Hyun-jin Returns To Hanwha After 12 Years

"Best Treatment Ever"
South Korea's best pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin, who won 176 games in Korean and U.S. professional baseball and ranked No. 1 in ERA in Asia in 2019, will return to Hanwha for the first time in 12 years.

According to officials familiar with Hanwha's news, Ryu Hyun-jin agreed with the team's high-ranking officials to return to Hanwha.

Hanwha asked the MLB Secretariat to check Ryu Hyun-jin's status.
Hanwha's request for a status check is the final stage of the recruitment process, and only the announcement remains.

Ryu Hyun-jin, who will return to his old team for the first time in 12 years since 2012, is expected to receive the highest treatment ever.

Currently, the highest contractor in professional baseball is Yang Eui-ji, who signed a 4+2 year contract with Doosan for up to 15.2 billion won in 2022.

Hanwha's official also said, "We will officially announce Ryu Hyun-jin's return as soon as the contract is finalized."

Hanwha, which has Moon Dong-ju, Kim Seo-hyun, and Hwang Joon-seo, is considered a candidate for the fifth round at once due to Ryu Hyun-jin's addition.
Manager Lee Seung-yeop and other commanders of the batting team have already begun to be wary of Hanwha's power with Ryu Hyun-jin.

Ryu Hyun-jin will move to Okinawa, Japan, as soon as he concludes his contract and join Hanwha's spring camp.
