Harnessing the Sun:
An Educational Odyssey
The goal was to visually clarify the operation of solar panels. I was responsible for selecting the style, creating the storyboard, producing the video, adding sound effects, and choosing the background music. The client requested a simple yet informative style to focus viewers on the content.
The video aimed to make the functioning of solar panels understandable even to students with lower academic performance. This goal was met, and the client was satisfied.
I chose a straightforward and clear style, free from distracting graphics. I presented three style options to the client, who selected one. Afterward, I developed the storyboard, aligning with the provided voiceover, and moved on to animation. I used plugins and JavaScript scripts for dynamic animation while maintaining viewer engagement and smooth motion curves. Working on the video transitions was also a notable aspect of this project.
The project with Uppsala University on solar panels was a success, greatly enhancing students' understanding of renewable energy. The client's satisfaction and the positive impact on educational engagement underscored the effectiveness of my visual storytelling approach. Personally, this project refined my ability to translate complex scientific concepts into accessible, engaging animations, further developing my skills in educational content creation.
