As a self-professed coffee addict, realising Pact Coffee operated from the same location as myself made me keen to collaborate. Not to mention that Pact Coffee is a start-up DTC (Direct to Consumer) powerhouse! Having already secured themselves a dependable photography supplier, I had to offer something of differing value. In this case, my close proximity to their offices made for efficient and easy product handovers. Additionally, any time employees spent in my studio attending the photoshoot wouldn’t require travelling time and expenses. Now all I need to do is produce impactful e-commerce product photography, which luckily I’m not half bad at.

Working with start-ups can be a double-edged sword, as I’ve delved deeper into here! Lucky for me, Pact Coffee joins the ranks of other start-ups who collaborate with freelancers effectively and respectfully. Gold star.

The brief called for mass e-commerce product photography, portraying new individual products and bundles throughout the client’s e-commerce site. While this may seem a straightforward and fairly in-creative task, there are great benefits to simpler set-ups. E-commerce photography can span a wide range of image qualities; Studio G’s would be towards the higher end of that scale. That means consistent lighting, editing and styling, which can take longer than most spend on relatively uncomplicated photoshoots. However, my ethos is that ALL my product photography should be good enough to plaster all over my website.
