ALGARROBINA - Flor del Bosque

Packaging

On arid lands, where the lacerating northern sun draws white contrasts and blacks, the Tallán culture found refuge and shelter in the carob tree. A giant with sparse foliage through which golden pods peek out, protecting the fruit that is synonymous with life. Considered a wise and generous divinity since pre-Columbian times, the carob tree provides the inhabitants of Catacaos with a sweet but bitter nectar known as “algarrobina”. It is through this vegetable tonic that the Tallán traditions remain in force to this day.

Peru is a country with abundant natural resources, of which each of its region produces local and export products. However, not all are valued and exploited correctly, this is the case of carob syrup. A 100% natural extract with analeptic properties that is used in the preparation of drinks, desserts and cocktails. This last industry is highly valued in Peru, from spirits to macerates, we can find endless products designed to live up to their quality. In this niche, Flor del Bosque seeks to revalue the carob syrup with ancestral origin as the elixir of life that it is.

Inspired by the art of the Tallán culture, the structure of the bottle resembles its ceramics with a wrapped neck and gray and black colors with careful finishes resulting from their burnishing technique. The image of the carob tree, which represents the main deity of Catacaos, is found as the central point of the circular composition. We decorate the packaging with Tallán’s patterns and bronze finishes that resemble the color of nectar to elevate the product to a more premium category.
