In 2011, Davao City was host to Cinema Rehiyon, a non-competition national film festival focused on movies from outside Metro Manila, Philippines. The festival is funded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
I worked as the overall project coordinator for the festival. I managed the entire festival from initial planning to the film festival up to the closing.
My roles were managing the money, that the theatres were booked and ready, finding sponsors and additional funds for the festival, setting up the exhibition area, and making sure the filmmakers made it to the festival, and that they had hotel accommodations. I also designed and developed the festival's website using Joomla.
