My hometown, Seoul, Korea has provided me full of inspirations all my life. Especially the view of Seoul at night cannot be compared to anywhere else - the city of 10 million awakes, rumbles, and becomes alive. One thing I wish to see is stars in Seoul, so I took some inspiration from Van Gogh's "Starry Night Over the Rhone." 

 

서울은 언제나 나에게 있어 영감을 제공해주는 장소였다. 특히나 서울의 밤 풍경은 세계 어느 곳과도 비교할 수 없을만큼 아름답다. 밤이 오면, 천만명의 도시는 깨어나고, 웅웅대며, 살아나기 시작한다. 한가지 아쉬운 점은, 뭐 어느 도시나 마찬가지겠지만, 별을 볼 수 없다는 점이어서 고흐의 "론 강의 별밤"에서 영감을 얻어왔다. 또한, 제목은 내가 가장 좋아하는 인디밴드인 Soulights의 앨범에서 따왔다.
