Business Card Design

In this project, I designed a business card for myself. The design uses typography rather than images as the main graphic element. I used glyphs from my name to create an ornamental design that flowed with the curves of the teal shape. The text on the card has a hierarchy created using scale contrast as well as color. The focal point on the card is my name being the biggest and brightest, while the information type is smaller and doesn't pop as much as the name. It also doesn't pop as much because it flows with the decorative shape, while the name doesn't. The back of the card is purely decorative, and reuses elements from the front of the card such as the curved shape and ornamental glyphs. This creates unity with the front of the card. Overall, the bright colors and energetic flowing shapes were chosen to create a more dynamic composition that accurately reflected my personal style more than a traditional business card layout would have.
