EAA Airventure 2011
Oshkosh, WI
EAA Airventure is the most unique airshow I've ever been to. Growing up on Top Gun, I admit I'm partial to modern fighter jets, which is the airshow's weakness if it had one, but the breadth of aircraft along with the heaps of knowledgeable aviators are more than enough to make up for it. There are thousands of planes people fly in themselves, along with ultralites, warbirds, and vendor tents showcasing the newest lines of personal aircraft. When EAA says there is something here for everyone, they really mean it.

I only took two lenses with me on this trip: the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 and the Sigma 12-24mm f/4-5.6 EX DG IF HSM. I admit, I was a little jealous of the guy sitting next to me who had the 400mm f/2.8, but I'm not forking over the cash for something like that just yet either.
