Fungal Chronicles
The decentralized design aims to make us aware and engage with other beings, recognizing the inherent value of all living creatures and the preservation of species. In line with this, a textile book is proposed to narrate the services provided by different species of fungi in the ecosystem, adopting a medieval fairy tale narrative to evoke empathy and make it understandable to the public.
The aesthetics of Art Nouveau were used as a reference; phosphorescent and embossed textures inks were printed to ensure that the reading experience is both educational and coherent with the purpose of each fungus.
