McLaren 600LT: The Edge is Calling
3D Animation

Hey everyone! I'm finally back with another project. Hope you like it! This one was a lot of fun to make, lots of new ground has been covered during the making of this. Firstly I expanded my rigging capabilities by making my first facial rig as well as my first IK/FK switch. Also my modeling and texturing skills have thoroughly improved. I implomented way more PBR materials then usual and did a ton of UV unwrapping. I had lots of fun modeling and texturing all the tiniest little details of the interior and exterior of the stunning 600LT. I absolutely love cars and McLaren is my favourite brand so I had to dedicate a project to them! Hope you enjoyed!

Let's go in-depth!

McLaren 600LT
The stunning McLaren 600LT is the track focused but still road legal version of the McLaren 570S. It features a more agressive bodywork, which can be seen by the front splitter as well as the sideskirts. Also the exhaust is a great way to identify the 600LT. The exhaust is known to shoot flames, many flames, toward the sky. The 600LT was first launched in June 2018. The car reaches 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds thanks to its 600hp 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. Making the model of the 600LT was tough but extremely fun. I used help guides and reference imagery to model the exterior of the car. Some of the reference imagery I captured myself in Forza Horizon 5, other images came from the internet. To model the interior I had to rely solely on reference imagery, and thus the scale is not 100% accurate, but this is as close as I could get!
