#migrationstories
Workshop with Michel Bouvet, 2014, May 12-15
This series is composed by four posters that, through a play of solids and blank, are made with the aim to highlight existing stereotypes about immigrants. Often these people, migrating in Italy, have to play professions that Italians consider low-level and therefore they don't want to do.
Because of the italian stereotypes, often their previously degrees or professions are not considered; people are limited to underestimate and assign them works sometimes disparaging.
This is, for example, the Youssef's case, who, while in Syria was graduated in medicine and worked as a doctor, in Italy is working as a dustman.
