The Sailor Scouts (Inner senshi)
Sailor Moon aka Usagi or to the English viewers, Serena. I wanted to stay close to the original design of Sailor Moon, only adding flowers and wings to add to her innocence and her royal status of warrior princess of the moon.
Sailor Mercury aka Amy. Wielder of water and air, she is also known to be a techy and intelligent person and wanted to incorporate that in her design.
Sailor Mars aka Rei Hino, the honourable priestess of fire and the spiritual world. I was inspired by Samurai and Japanese objects and wanted to incorporate these features in her design.
Sailor Jupiter aka Makato Kino or to the English viewers, Lita. She controls the element of thunder and though tough on the outside, she has the heart of a romantic and I wanted to contrast this idea of hard and soft. I took minor influences from Mid-evil knights and warriors.
Sailor Venus aka Minako or Mina. She controls the power of light and is known for her bubbly personality and leadership skills. Being the goddess of love, I was inspired by Roman soldiers.
