Welcome to the Scarborough Fair!
We did something very special this time with FlightShow and 100 drones. The first ever drone show at Scarborough, UK was launched as a part of Light Festival and it tells a story of what makes Scarborough unique, with narration by local young people and music by the Badgers of Bohemia.
Workflow
Right after first reading of the scenario we designed all the figures and were ready to animate and synchronize them with truly beautiful audio we got. Here is the result of our work - fully ready animation with speed and collision simulated, rendered in Unreal Engine for final approval to flight.
Festival of Light
The display was at the Scarborough castle which is located on a rocky headland overlooking the North Sea and the town. The castle dates back to the 12th century and has a rich history of battles, sieges, and royal visits. With all the illuminations of the building show really finds its' place at the historic background.
