Black and White Illustrator: Norse Horse
NORSE HORSE

I started with a brief concept sketch, based around a horse head and numerous Nordic symbols. The option that looked the cleanest, and most interesting was the one alluding to the Nordic knot.

From there I cleaned up the sketch, originally in procreate, adding more twists to fully make the knot and adding in similar patterns in the corners to help convey the concept of Norse.

For the final finish, the piece was recreated in illustrator with the pen tool, removing the blank spaces in the corner pieces as to bring focus to the center again.

Colored Photoshop Collage: Ghost Toast
GHOST TOAST

I started with numerous sketches, surrounding the idea of a ghost holding toast, a ghostly toaster, and the toast being a ghost.

I settled on a gothic style kitchen for a background, inverted to add a haunted aesthetic to the piece. I tested both concepts of a piece of toast shaped like a ghost and a host taking a piece of toast from a toaster as a full collage, before settling on the later, as I believe it looked cleaner as a concept.

For my final piece I cropped in on the ghostly figure holding the toast and removed the toaster entirely since it became relatively redundant. The figure was changed from the previous iteration mostly because the image quality of the ghost was low enough that it pixelated heavily.
