Collection: In this collection, I am inspired by my own experience; a typical Chinese girl being influenced by Western culture. I want to represent how I am being inspired and infected by the Western culture. Thus, I called my collection “Modern Asia”. I want to use the symbolic Chinese elements, such as Cheongsam (Qipao), Peking Opera makeup, Ink drawings, and traditional Chinese embroidery patterns, but present them in a new and modern way. I will also add my influences from the American wedding dress. I call it Double Layer Scene, which I combine leather laser-cut embroidered patterns with a silk layer on top. This will show the beauty of layering in a different way.
