A Khaos Squadron Star Wars Battlefront II Tournament
After the success of "The Zephyr Anomaly" tournament, I and a co-founder of the tournament series created the "Skirmish Across The Stars" tournament. We have created lore for our tournament series which ties in the title with what we actually did for part of the tournament.
"The pilots of Khaos Squadron scour the stars in hopes of recruiting the best and brightest pilots in the galaxy."
For the tournament, we switched our typical day and time from Thursday nights to Saturday afternoons to accommodate more time zones which could play the video game at a reasonable time. This encouraged more players to show up, more opportunities to recruit new players, as well as give an opportunity to players who has have always wanted to be in one of Khaos' tournaments but could never come out on Thursdays because of the time zone difference. In fact to help them out even more, we played the tournament on a game server in their region. So, while all the US based players played with higher ping and server lag, our other members were able to play on a more stable connection.
What "Skirmish Across The Stars" established was a foundational day and time slot that we currently use for Khaos' tournaments today. This tournament truly was a breakout time for Khaos in many ways.

Left is the final logo and right is a slightly earlier version with greater sharpness on the special effects. Toning down the special effects makes the logo more pleasing to look at while also drawing the eye continually towards the center of the logo through the use of the design elements and font.
