Master Assignment for Visual Thinking and Inspiration: From Abstraction to Image

The assignment for this module was to pick an object in your house and draw it every day for 5 days but looking at different angles and perspectives and try to draw it in a different way every day.

I picked a small silver viking ship ornament and did very abstract drawings using pencil to initially draw the outlines then I went over it in black pen. I love the contrasting detail of the black and white and thoroughly enjoyed the process of doing abstract illustrations again. I hadn't done this style of illustration since college so it was great to get back into it! 

I did a final piece which wasn't part of the brief but I did it anyway because I didn't want to stop drawing! I found the process of illustrating the final piece very therapeutical!
