Skateboard Graphic
I wanted to try out using the brush tool in Illustrator and made a skateboard graphic with an aquatic theme that is cool yet scary.
Ideas and Sketches
My original idea had an original typeface with waves in the background and an octopus near the bottom of the design drawing the viewer's eye from the top down. The waves I initially made appeared as lighting when I asked for someone else's perspective so changes were made to match the style of the octopus.
Draft and Final Design
The typeface I created initially did not appear strong so I searched for a typeface that has harder edges that give feelings of danger. I also changed the octopus because my first design seemed flat because there was a lack of depth and detail especially around the tentacles.
