This work was created in collaboration with a pre-kindergarten class of children and their teachers. After a professional flamenco dancer visited their classroom, the children continued to imitate theĀ dance moves and verbal expressions she taught them.Ā She was the topic of many of their conversations and became the inspiration and subject for this work of art.
I designed this piece and worked together with the students and teachers to assemble it.
It was later sold in a virtual, silent auction to benefit a local charity.
