The brief for this animation project was extremely open. We were given a collection of about ten phrases (one of which was "the temptation was too much") and were asked to come up with any sort of animation based on our chosen phrase.
I'd had the idea of a butterfly catching child in my head for a while, as it's something that my sister and I enjoyed doing when we were little. I remember once seeing my sister trying to catch one on her own and I suddenly realised what a horrible thing it was to do. This is the theme throughout this short animation - that what is so beautiful about butterflies is exactly what we kill when we catch them.
