The goal was to develop a currency system better representing the advancements, innovation and culture within our global society. The United States population consists of an ethnic melting pot, representing nations all over the world. The 2015 U.S. currency system will honor our greatest engineering achievements, and inspire others to invent, design and build across the globe.
Each bill features the inception of a specific engineering innovation that changed and benefited our world forever, as well as their modernization and technoligcial advacements into the present-day. The one-hundred dollar note showcases Russian astraunat Yuri Gagarin, the first human to fly in outer-space, and a modern commercially flown Virgin Galactic passenger spaceship orbiting Earth.
