This is my ex libris, on it you can see my name, a book, flowers, and notes of music. I have put these three elements because they represent things that I like and they represent my person and it is like an information about me with things that I like only with the ex libris, which would be this postage stamp, stamping or engraving.

First of all, I made the preliminary sketch to make the bookplate composition.

Second, I went through it in adobe illustrator for an exact design of what I wanted.

Thirdly, I passed it to a carbon paper and drew it with an 8b pencil so that it would remain on the blue carving plate.

Next, once I have applied the cardboard paper on the blue carving block, it will be smooth and now with a gouge and cutter as tools to remove all the blue and only leave the part drawn on top of the other.

This is how the ex libris looks like after the previous step is done and ready to be stamped with a versacraft ink.
