Propagating Peace Lilies: Instructional Poster Infographic 

I designed this 2'3' poster for my COMD-218 Visualizing Information class.

Design choices: 

 I chose this topic because I have some experience in propagating and general gardening. The audience I conveyed the information to was adults. In terms of psychographics specifically, I wanted to choose those who were interested in gardening and maintaining plants and who preferred softer, relaxing visual matter rather than extra bold. 

Production:The typography that I chose was Utopia (three different weights; bold, extra bold, and regular; for step instructions), Meursault VF (for numerals), and Alegreya (bold weight) for my subheader. I used serif typefaces because it is easily readable and more effective from a distance for such a large poster. In terms of production via software, I designed my poster with Adobe Illustrator. I chose this over InDesign because I manipulated vector graphics and I found it to be streamlined in Illustrator.
