"Boycott" Wall (Ghent, Flanders)

Street Art
“Boycott”. Mural in Ghent, Flanders, under these 4 facts:

The Revolt of Ghent (16th century), where citizens refused to pay the war that Charles V was fighting against the French in Italy. Citizens still celebrate this act of rebellion with pride.
King Leopold II of Belgium (19th century) committed many atrocities in Congo, killing around 10 millions of Congolese, enslaving many of them and despoiling their resources.

As a result of the exile and trial in 2021 to the Majorcan rapper Valtonyc, the Belgian Constitutional Court removed from the penal code the injuries to the Crown because it goes against freedom of speech that is mentioned in the constitution.

Finally, it is impossible to talk about freedom and Human Rights without mentioning the genocide that Israel, with the support of many other countries and companies, is committing against Palestine. This olive tree on fire tries to represent them.

We are the power. Boycott the war.
