/Literopad is an annual project that invites designers, illustrators, artists to explore, express, and popularize the diversity of forms of Ukrainian Cyrillic letters.
/Literopad takes place throughout November as a creative marathon on the Instagram platform (@/literopad/). It is an annual collective effort to process archives of works by Ukrainian artists, graphic designers, and typographers of the past, as well as work with historical font samples.
/The project is initiated by font designer Andriy Shevchenko (@andrijtype) and font designer/researcher Marchela Mozhyna (@marymo_type), and curated by Oleksii Salnykov (@a.salio).
During #Literopad 2023, I explored Ukrainian Cyrillic letters and learned about the rich history of Ukrainian graphic art.
