Rebranding Sobia Elrahmany
This drink, known as "Sobia," was invented in 1920 in one of the oldest historical
neighborhoods in Cairo, the Fatimia district of Al-Mu'izz Street, specifically in the
Maghrablin neighborhood on Al-Khayamiya Street. It was later moved to Sayeda Zeinab in
front of Al-Sunnya School in 1950.
Sobia is characterized by being a nutritious beverage, and it is known for its natural
ingredients such as rice milk, sugar, cream, coconut slices, and a small addition of
cinnamon, which gives it an irresistible taste.
