On the left is a design made by Loza Maléombho for her FW 2019 collection. It features a printed cotton, collared shirt; jacket, shorts, and chaps made from a blue burlap; and leather and plastic fringe shoes.
On the right is a reinterpretation that I designed. I decided to create a more classic feminine silhouette with a long dress, ruffle hem, and flutter cap sleeves. I associate tailoring with a sense of power, so I turned the jacket into a fitted vest that ties on the side. I kept the gold mask buckle and used it for the adjustable side tie.
