As this young bird blinked I was able to capture the translucent Nictitating Membrane which protects the eye of the bird.
Here is a look at a juvenile White-bellied Sea Eagle from the Northern Territory, Australia.
This bird will get its adult plumage at around its fourth or fifth year.
These are my favourite of all birds and when I see the next generation coming through it makes me very happy indeed.
