Blacksmithing: hook
For this project I learned what blacksmithing is. I first started out with piece of steel and then I heated it up and hammered the ends to a point, and then I started to curve the smaller end to form a loop type of look, and then I twisted it. I did the same loop but just a little bigger on the other side, how ever I did the loop backwards so I had to break that part off and reshape the end and then make a new loop the correct way. And then I made the big hook curve in the middle and there was my hook. I used the chisel and a hammer to break the steel apart. I used the hammer to form the loops and shape the ends of the steel. And I used tongs to hold the hot metal.
